Scannable turns ordinary safety equipment into Smart PPE™. 140 words
Scannable is the Smart PPE™ standard. Founded in 2022 by Rob Stirling, Scannable embeds a passive chip into safety equipment so that any helmet, harness, vest or lanyard can be tapped with a phone to reveal who owns it, when it was last inspected, and whether it's safe to use today. For manufacturers, Scannable is a chip-and-system integration that ships with their existing product lines as Powered by Scannable. For safety teams, it's the end of clipboards, lost tags and hopeful inspections. For workers, it's gear that quietly proves itself. Scannable is used on construction sites, in tunnels, on wind farms and in factories across Europe and North America.

"We don't compete with manufacturers — we ship inside their gear. Powered by Scannable means the brand on the helmet stays the same, but what it can do changes."
